The Hash House Harriers (HHH) is a worldwide network of running clubs organized and run at the local level. Each club has its own personality and members are encouraged not to take the runs too seriously, although it is possible to do serious running on the courses selected. There is a small fee for each run, to subsidize the drinking activities that follow.
The Hash is a great opportunity to be outdoors, discover new places and make new friends, both Indonesians and expats. You become a member just by showing up. Within Jakarta there are several groups that run on different days of the week, so chances are there could be one that suits your schedule.
Trails are usually well marked and detailed directions supplied prior to runs. Hashers like a good trick now and then so if you’re a newbie, ask fellow hashers about some of the more common ones that take place on runs.
